The latest event from the Talk Money, Stress Less Campaign took place on Monday 7th December 2015 and was hosted by The Chatterbox Project and Northwards Housing.
The Chatterbox Project based in Blackley, North Manchester hosted a drop-in Money Advice Day open to the whole community. Their aim for the day was:
To provide local people with an opportunity to access professional financial capability advice in a familiar, welcoming setting.
To engage vulnerable people (i.e. food bank users) in the process of taking steps to improve their financial capability.
To bring members of the local community together, and encourage open dialogue about money/debt/budgeting etc.
A free buffet was provided, and delegates from the following organisations were on-hand to offer one-to-one advice and support:
Greater Manchester Police
Manchester Health and Wellbeing Service
Mind Your Money
It was a great day and members of the community took advantage of the great advice on offer whilst enjoying a spot of lunch.
