FREE front line staff training on Budgeting and Benefits
As part of the legacy of the project we are delivering FREE Front line staff and volunteer training.
The course will be 10am – 4.00pm and delivered at venues across the City, a FREE lunch will be included.
The courses are aimed at Staff and volunteers who come into contact with people that are struggling with their finances and will enable them to start the conversation around money, be able to produce a budget sheet and assist with ways to save money by looking at Energy bills and shopping. It will also give an update on the benefit changes and how this impacts on peoples incomes.
This training is NOT for staff already in a Financial Inclusion role or already giving money advice.
The course will be delivered by Jayne who is a qualified debt adviser and trainer who delivered the very successful SWIFT training. Sessions are interactive and very informative but also quite informal to encourage participation.
All delegates will be given a comprehensive folder of information to take away and share with their colleagues. This will include the Mind your Money spending diary and Budget Buster as well as details of where to signpost people for further help and highlight any charitable payments that are available and again where and how to access these.
